Vertical Connect considers it's consulting services as the initial phase of understanding your business needs and ascertaining how best to deliver services that will have some positive effect on the operation of your business.This consulting may not only identify specific I.T. issues that need to be addressed or understood but may also deal with procedural and process aspects of your business that are making it difficult for you to get the most from your information systems. From these consulting services we deliver a report that details our findings and a portfolio of projects that will deliver your I.T. and business requirements.

Design

We believe the analysis and design phases of any I.T. project are the most important and can be the difference between a successful and a failed project implementation. Vertical Connects consultants have considerable experience in analysing your needs and designing systems that will deliver these needs cost effectively and efficiently. We have considerable experience with existing software in the Medical and Veterinary market and how best to integrate and implement these software systems. We do not have any links or preferences for any specific particular operating system or hardware vendor so we can choose the best components for your business. We have considerable experience with Windows Terminal Server as well as Unix/Linux based solutions including combinations of both. We also understand the need for ongoing service and support and can deal with your existing software and hardware technical service suppliers or introduce you to recommended suppliers in your area.

Software Design

Vertical Connect can provide software architect services to design and document new software systems. We can then help you make decisions about whether to buy, customise or build your software and can utilise external and internal resources to implement the software. Our particular domain expertise is in clinical and small business software systems but we have had experience with the development of other business systems.

Project Management

Understanding your requirements and designing a good system are a good start but unless you can clearly communicate with suppliers to efficiently deliver products and services, the project is at risk of delay as well as cost overrun. Vertical Connect has developed specific skills in this area and can take away the stress and burden of making sure suppliers deliver as promised. We deal with the various problems and issues that inevitably crop up in an I.T project and make sure the various suppliers deliver to expectation. Our project management services include the delivery and management of project plans, vendor contracts, vendor management, acceptance testing and project sign off.

Technical Support

As we are skilled in the installation and configuration of many medical and veterinary software systems and Microsoft Windows server technologies we can provide software and system diagnosis services directly or via your local technical service supplier. This allows you and/or your supplier to tap into our extensive knowledge base in these areas.
